I may be biased but I think the Scottish Highlands makes the perfect holiday destination! The good news for those voiceover artists or actors choosing to holiday up here, is that there is now a VO studio available for hire.
Situated North of Inverness, the vocal booth can connect to studios worldwide via Source Connect Standard, ipDTL, Cleanfeed and more. If you choose to have the audio recorded in house then this will be done using Adobe Audition.
The studio includes a Shure sm7b mic, situated in a Kube Vocalbooth. The set up would also work well for those needing to record or conduct live TV or Radio interviews.
The studio is situated less than 1 mile from my home so last minute bookings are not an issue. Prior to being a VO studio, this building belonged to Frankie Martin, who was well known throughout the area as he had opened his barber shop in 1973 and continued to work in it until he passed away in his late 90’s. I’ve had a number of Frankie’s customers, pop in to see the changes that have been made to his old Barber shop. The building has been completely renovated from it’s previous 1980s décor by my Dad, Gordon. Due to lockdown, his Jewellery shop was closed for a number of months so this building became his project and he was in there working, most days. The level of detail he went to in the renovation has been amazing. It is such a lovely bright and modern space to work from and I look forward to sharing it with those looking to hire a VoiceOver studio in the Highlands.
